Check for low spots on the roof, as well as roof penetrations such as chimneys, dormers, or plumbing and roof vents.
Look for evidence of temporary patches. These fail over time, and may be causing the leak.
2. Dry the area you intend to repair
Mold can thrive under the roof if you patch a hole and trap moisture underneath. If there’s already a large amount of water involved, it’s best to contact a professional roofing company.
